La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Incorporated was established on February 19, 1982 at Cornell University to address the shortcomings of academic institutions in meeting the needs of Latinos in higher education. La Unidad Latina has been at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign since 2006 and has both diversified the student body and strengthened the Latino community by hosting culturally-relevant programming, offering scholarships, and hosting high school campus visits. La Unidad Latina is open to working with all student organizations on a variety of non-Latino or education-related programming. We also look forward to helping make the Latino Community at UIUC bigger and more united.
