Sigma Psi Zeta Sorority, Inc. (SYZ) was founded on March 23,1994 by 10 strong and dedicated National Founding Mothers that each represent the 10 Rays of Sisterhood that the sorority holds dear. Sigma Psi Zeta is the first Greek-lettered sorority of its kind to be established on the East Coast and is one of the largest and most distinguished Asian-interest sororities in the nation. SYZ is a cultural, social, educational, and community service oriented sorority. We are an organization that seeks to educate and enlighten all people, regardless of race, about Asians and Asian-Americans; our achievements, our struggles, our interests, and identity. We believe the strength of our foundation derives from the unity of sisterhood.Sigma Psi Zeta's Alpha Epsilon Charter was established on April 7, 2012 by 12 dedicated Charter Sisters.
